WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Conduct detailed snagging inspections on completed construction units.
  • Identify and document defects, discrepancies, and non-conformities.
  • Prepare inspection reports and snag lists in line with project quality standards.
  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely rectification of identified issues.
  • Support final inspections and handover readiness activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Snagging Inspection
  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed construction works in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Use inspection checklists and protocols to assess finishes, fixtures, fittings, and installations.
2. Defect Identification
  • Identify and record defects in materials, workmanship, and installations.
  • Use measuring tools, levels, and testing equipment to assess quality and compliance.
  • Utilize software tools, MS Office, and email communication for documentation and coordination.
3. Documentation and Reporting
  • Document identified snags with clear descriptions, photographs, and location references.
  • Prepare snagging reports categorizing defects by severity and recommending corrective actions.
  • Share reports with contractors, project managers, and relevant stakeholders.
4. Collaboration and Coordination
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely rectification of snags.
  • Follow up on outstanding items and verify closure of defects.
  • Support communication between stakeholders to ensure accountability.
5. Quality Assurance Support
  • Ensure works comply with project specifications and quality standards during rectification.
  • Verify that corrective actions are properly completed before sign-off.
6. Client Interaction
  • Support client meetings and inspections when required.
  • Maintain professional communication and provide updates on snag status.
7. Continuous Improvement
  • Suggest improvements to inspection processes where applicable.
  • Participate in project review and lessons learned sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Diploma in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in construction quality inspection or snagging activities.
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and project specifications.
  • Knowledge of snagging procedures and quality inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and reporting formats.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and basic testing equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
