WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Valuation Manager will lead our team in delivering high-quality residential valuation services aligned with company objectives. This strategic role involves implementing departmental strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving process efficiency. Key responsibilities include workload management, financial oversight, client engagement, and business development. The role also involves administration coordination, technology integration, and continuous professional development. The Valuation Manager will play a crucial leadership role, deputizing for the Department Head as needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement the Valuations Department strategy in alignment with company objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant protocols, including the RICS Red Book and Valuation Guidelines.
  • Apply the RICS Code of Conduct and RICS International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS).
  • Ensure the Valuations Team consistently delivers high-quality work following industry guidelines.
  • Develop and enhance valuation processes and procedures in line with RICS guidelines, company objectives, and client requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Land Sterling valuation processes and procedures.
  • Effectively manage workloads, deadlines, and priorities to maintain the overall efficiency of the department.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide mentorship to improve technical and professional knowledge.
  • Develop, review, and implement viable fee structures to ensure departmental profitability.
  • Monitor Department Profit & Loss Statements, track progress, and identify opportunities for financial improvement.
  • Conduct property inspections, data collection, analysis, and valuation reporting.
  • Review and sign off client reports to ensure quality control.
  • Engage in business development activities, liaise with clients to secure new business, and retain existing clients.
  • Advise the Administration Coordinator on proposal submissions following relevant fee structures.
  • Ensure correct document management in collaboration with the Administration Coordinator.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance Departments for recruitment, employee management, and financial transactions.
  • Identify and implement new tools and IT resources to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Support team members in attaining professional memberships/RICS certification or equivalent certifications.
  • Maintain Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in line with RICS requirements
  • Deputize for the Department Head in their absence.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) membership or equivalent certification
  • Proven experience in residential property valuations
  • Previous managerial or leadership experience within a valuation team
  • In-depth understanding and application of RICS Red Book, RICS Code of Conduct, and RICS International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS)
